Any idea what happened, I don't remember seeing any cancellations yesterday?

Found this on RTT for Thursday. 17:20 ex-Blackburn was cancelled at Orrell. Subsequent back working from Headbolt Lane also cancelled. Possibly the offending unit.

The article is incorrect, it was a freight train had a turbo fire, driver extinguished, and was no requirement for fire brigade.

For those unaware the Reach group now own many local titles alongside the Daily Express and Daily Star and are dreadful. Killing titles with clickbait and nonsense everywhere.

Not content with buying up once reputable local newspaper titles and dumbing them down to localised versions of the Daily Mirror, their latest thing is to create "SomeplaceLive" websites for the areas they don't have their own title and compete with the existing newspaper.

They flood Facebook with links to article with tempting click bait 'news' headlines, but then turn out to be a rehash of a story that isn't local and actually happened years earlier and was well reported at the time.
