First Rewards "Rover Tickets" - Seatfrog Upgrade?

Hi all,

Just a quick question. Is anybody able to advise whether you can use the First Rewards £6 Avanti West Coast "rover tickets" to upgrade to First Class using Seatfrog?

Unsure as to whether the answer to my original question is unknown, or the thread just slipped through - but hopefully someone may be able to help me with a second question which has arisen...

The First Rewards website states:

A FirstGroup travel pass is required to use this offer. Where a FirstGroup travel pass is not held, contact [email protected] after purchasing your ticket and they will provide a letter of association to be presented in conjunction with the ticket for the date of travel. Please ensure that you allow plenty of notice as the office is not open over weekends or public holidays and therefore a letter cannot be produced at those times.

Is anybody able to clarify what is meant by "FirstGroup travel pass" please? It isn't worded very clearly. Would a SWR staff travel pass (smartcard) count?
