Full complement of the right buses on The Mousehole today. I only spent four minutes total in Market Jew Street, equalling 2 x 2 minutes, but in that time saw 37004, 37009 and 38026 (only the last one still displaying M6).

Are you sure you got the right fleet numbers there? The first two are Wright Gemini numbers and don’t think the latter exists.

Although, looking at it, you probably meant 53704, 53709 and 53826?

38026? Possibly a typo for something else?

I imagine most of these Geminis will go to Somerset to replace the remaining Tridents there.

Also there’s a little error there regarding the Lolynes. It should be 32759 as 757 is already back in Cornwall.

Typo on my part. Everything outstanding (the last three batches on my list) is headed to Somerset, to join the 3 Geminis already there and the 3 E400s. All existing Tridents will be replaced and double decks will replace a number of single decks.

Will Cornwall get any of the east lancs tridents, or will these go to Somerset?

You're right - I do my best to remember these numbers, but nationwide fleet numbering systems hold no interest for me! Thank you. Chalk one up for general decrepitude. :)

I cant imagine that the plan has changed in the 30 minutes since it was posted!

I know @carlberry has already pointed this out but it really can't be clearer yet it needs to be stressed. @On the Buses kindly provides this; the best we could do is to read it properly.

And before anyone gets excited, I'm sure that 32433/4/5 is just a typo and it's 32543/4/5

They are still in Cornwall AFAIK, the latter was seen in Camborne today.
I’ve just seen one of them outbound near treliske on a T2.
The other was at Truro college this morning on possibly a U1 of some description

That's 22 new deckers for Somerset against 13 now on fleet (exc the open toppers). Is this likely to mean more deckers on the 21? And anything else (the 28 I believe cannot take them)?

It’s 28 actually, against what would have been 15.

There are three bridges on the A358 at Combe Florey and also Sampford Brett that are 13'9 - so it was fine in the days of VRs etc

It would be interesting to know the rationale for that. Is it because of college requirements (dupes/overloads), or for other reasons? Also, only for Taunton and Bridgwater?

Whatever’s the reason, it is a very impressive number. I’m struggling to recall that many deckers in the past!

Yeovil too
Double decking all of any of 21 22 25 54 75 77
Pre Covid we had a number of single decks having to be duplicated.

Thank you for sharing that information. Some of those routes would certainly be a scenic delight from the top deck but guess that's nothing more than a lucky additional benefit. Been a while since Yeovil had a regular decker allocation.
