FA Cup winner and 5th go straight to league stage. The FA Cup winner already being qualified for the champions league means the place now goes to 6th place rather than loser as in previous years.

Best team won, but you guys should have had at least one penalty if not two. (although for me the one on Gabby was just outside)

Still, it would have come at a time in the game where it wouldn't have made a great deal of difference, which I suppose can act as a sort of consolation.

The one on Gabby was outside for me too. It's no consolation for my wallet as I had (admittedly not much) money on both teams to score

No hiding place for Rangers today at Fir Park, as they have to overcome the 3-1 defeat by Motherwell in the first-leg of this play-off that they suffered on their own ground....otherwise, another year in the Scottish Championship beckons.

Motherwell 3...Rangers 0

Motherwell win the play-off final 6-1 on aggregate and stay in the Scottish Premiership, whereas Rangers face another season in the Scottish Championship.

Think there's just too wide a gap between the top league in Scotland and the next step down.
Congratulations to Inverness on winning the Scottish Cup against Falkirk.

Along with Hibernian.... whilst the glorious Heart of Midlothian enter the SPL :p

Not good for the SPL to be without either Rangers or Hibs - it's a boring one pony race :(

We were beaten by the better team.

You were lucky not to get relegated this year as well

That's three fewer category A incidents for Strathclyde Police to worry about over the next 12 months.

Had to read that twice to get it.
Three games v Celtic rather than four because Rangers wouldn't have been in the top six
Naughty.

Congratulations to Inverness on winning the Scottish Cup against Falkirk.

At least it was a good competitive game, unlike the English equivalent☹

Rather enjoyed the Scottish Cup Final, decent open game for the majority of it, and a great last ten minutes. One of the better adverts for Scottish football.

The less said about yesterday the better.

The fracas that saw three red cards being issued after the final whistle in the Motherwell v Rangers play-off match look like attracting the attention of the police.

Did anyone on this thread actually see what happened?

It seems Erwin attempted to shake hands with Mohsni, words were exchanged and Erwin pushed him and Mohsni retaliated by kicking and punching him.

Apparently Mohsni's contract is up and he will not be offered another one.

Not a football fan but this has to be good news. It also means that those in the FIFA core who do know his involvement will be able to speak up as he cannot remove them.

Sad to say he'll probably get a nice golden handshake to keep his mouth shut and suddenly develop Alzheimers, those that take over will sweep 99% of the dirt under the carpet and get their claws on the golden egg

Hopefully I'm just being cynical and someone, anyone, will try to make FIFA accountable, now for the IOC .........

He's staying in charge till December at least and probably into 2016 so he ain't gone yet.

It's obvious the Americans have something serious on him in fact it would be a shock if they didn't.

He was due to go to America in a few weeks so he's avoided being arrested for the time being.

The verdicts are in. Bilel Mohsni has been given a four match ban and also "a notice of complaint", which noting his current situation, will be formerly added to his registration as a player.

The two Motherwell players, who were then involved with Mohsni after the original incident and given red cards, were both given a two-match ban.

I really can't see how Brendon Rogers can remain at the helm and surely signing Balotelli has to be his biggest blunder?

The meeting last night saw Brendon Rogers still at the helm with a new-style system to come into effect at the club.

*********************************************************************************************

At the age of 23, still not seemingly being able to understand that professional footballers' actions are noted by the press and the football authorities, the Arsenal midfield player Jack Wilshere has now been formally charged by the FA with misconduct after he personally led a public series of derogatory chants against Tottenham Hotspur in an event after this year's FA Cup Final.

He had been warned on a similar matter by the FA the previous year when Arsenal also won the FA Cup.

As the FIFA scandal unfolds it's looking very likely that every world cup venue for 40 years has been obtained by fraud.

The corruption started when Haverlange took office in 1974 and Blatter was Secretary-General.

The French and South African world cups looking extremely dodgy.

I would imagine that the Olympic bidding process is probably just as corrupt if not more.
