I have asked this in the thread on UK signalling maps but thought I'd ask here.

Is there any other country (specifically European) that has publicly available maps and timings?

I know it's sad, but I love just sitting watching the trains moving around on the maps,
and as I watch a lot of foreign cab ride videos (currently Norway & Sweden), I think it
would be nice sometimes to just watch the maps.

1409.se (also available as an app) will show you live train positions in Sweden. Handily, once you click/tap on a train, it also shows accurate route lengths in km.

In Finland someone has put together a very good website collecting all the public railway data feeds: https://juliadata.fi/
All in Finnish, but Google Translate works well

The live map is here: https://juliadata.fi/map/view?mode=trains#7/60.994/25.646

Latest reports: https://juliadata.fi/trainspots
Timetables: https://juliadata.fi/timetables For example: Helsinki Today: https://juliadata.fi/timetables?s=Helsinki&d=3.10.2021 ( reports all stopping, passing services: passenger, freight, work, museum trains, etc)
Live situation: https://juliadata.fi/live

If you need help just PM me

It's a shame that none them technically qualify as a "signalling map" or and "OTT/RTT-style map".

They are all geographical maps, even though in some cases they seem to based on track berth resolution data.

For the Netherlands there are signalling maps available at Sporenplan.nl, but those do not feature live displays of trains using those tracks.

For the Brno area in Czechia is this live map of buses, trolleybuses, trams, regional buses and local railway from Kordis JMK https://mapa.idsjmk.cz/

I’m not sure I’ve seen a live map that includes all the local transport before.

It is aimed at general users, but the level of detail for enthusiasts is impressive too. When clicking on the vehicle, it also tells you the vehicle type and also a picture/diagram of the vehicle. You can also filter down the map just to show a certain route, certain mode, and even the vehicle type.

For local trains though, when clicking on the train, it doesn’t tell you the type, but does link to another website to tell you the composition of that journey (zelpage.cz)
