About 1515 on Friday, heading Northbound, destination blind 'Edinburgh Waverley'. Anybody know why it had been down south?

Probably had work done to it at Crewe. A refurb maybe?

Not a refurb. Maybe something to do with the engine or the fact that it is only 2 car (if we are talking about 170431 which made its way down there a while ago

The one I saw was three cars, so that puts a spanner in the works!

The centre car went down south by road the driving trailers went south as a 2 car the stayed in Scotland a bit longer doing passenger work. That maybe where the confusion came from as it is returning as a full set.
