He won't last long, it will mean having to do a tiny bit of work which he will be unable to handle.
I had no idea who Ellie Costello was - a search brought up:As if things couldn’t get any weirder. Since Esther McVey had to resign after accepting a government job, Saturday Morning Live is now hosted by Elle Costello…
…and Peter Andre?!?!

Surely it is missing the word 'thankfully'?Only on GB News, next Saturday from 10am!
For a moment, I thought that said Elvis Costello. That would be a surprising move, but Accidents Will Happen. As if things couldn’t get any weirder. Since Esther McVey had to resign after accepting a government job, Saturday Morning Live is now hosted by Elle Costello…
But if Peter Andre is on it shouldn't it now be called AUS News! Can't think of him doing an in depth interview. As if things couldn’t get any weirder. Since Esther McVey had to resign after accepting a government job, Saturday Morning Live is now hosted by Elle Costello…

"We've had a number of people get in touch to ask about last night's ‘People's Forum: The Prime Minister’, on GB News. A reminder that we are a post-transmission regulator, which means by law we can only assess content after it has been broadcast. We will now carefully assess the complaints we've received about last night's show against our broadcasting rules, before deciding whether to investigate or not."
From a quick count, I reckon 47. There were definitely empty seats. On the 'Sunak + Conservatives' thread #6915 quoted a claim that someone who claimed to vote Conservative but is actually a Labour supporter had had his pass rescinded, maybe there were others?According to Michelle Dewbury over previous nights on her show the place would be packed out!! Were there even 50 people in attendance?
They were paid as well, one of them asked when they got their expenses live on air. I wonder how much they got. From a quick count, I reckon 47. There were definitely empty seats. Maybe 47 counts as 'packed out' in GB News circles?
One audience member of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s hour-long GB News’ People’s Forum on Monday night was less interested in voting Conservative than finding out where to submit his expenses claim.

Well, expenses are in principle allowed. However, it all depends just how much they allow or what they allow.
Having right wing beliefs that damage Britain is a sickness and it is not Pro - Britis. So having right wing Pro - British beliefs is a sickness??. Such comments are indicative of all that has gone wrong with the UK. Labour are sweeping into power and you are still peddling rubbish like this!!
I think I've shown my negative opinion of GB News but I'm not convinced about this one. He was one of those who was permitted to ask a question, and he said he was in the performing arts. I think it was just a well delivered but jokey response. They were paid as well, one of them asked when they got their expenses live on air. I wonder how much they got.

UK TV and radio stations are supposed to provide a balanced output. So having right wing Pro - British beliefs is a sickness??.
For me, the issue is more that it represents a particular opinion within the Conservative Party. I don't like the term but, just like Labour, the Conservative Party are a 'broad church', representing a whole range of opinion. GB News, by its choice of presenters, seems just as interested in narrowing the appeal of the Conservatives to those less near the centre ground. I suspect there are a fair few Conservatives who wouldn't be able to turn its output off quick enough. It shouldn't be forgotten that the channel has more presenters associated with Reform than the Labour, the Lib Dems and SNP put together (I believe) and even had the leader of Reclaim as a presenter (until he went one step too far for the channel).I think I've shown my negative opinion of GB News but I'm not convinced about this one. Very happy to be proven wrong though, it wouldn't surprise me
UK TV and radio stations are supposed to provide a balanced output.
the major stations usually do this by having representation from anyone who matters (eg the three main parties, or the SNP or Plaid or the NI parties if appropriate)
LBC does this by having blocks of time given to people with very different opinions, eg Ferrari followed by O'Brien
GB News is just relentless pro-Tory output all day long. Like I said, Sunak himself was virtually unchallenged and it was followed by one of his literal subordinates praising him for the best part of an hour. No officials from other parties were sat next to him to give a different view.
That's before getting into the obvious conflict of interest in terms of hiring so many sitting Tory MPs to "present" shows - indeed the time slot Sunak used is normally occupied by Jacob Rees Mogg (who did not appear)
Comforting lies and bias affirming views are always easier than truths and reality.I believe there were attempts to have the channel closed down but thankfully they were unsuccessful. It's not everyone's cup of tea but i have always enjoyed it, you probably have to be of a certain political persuasion to watch it but maybe the fact that it is so different from the dross served up by the others and and it's outspoken presenters is the reason i enjoy it.

To be fair to social media, GB News gets to a wider audience because of paid-for sponsorship, and algorithms that target people more likely to click those suggestions. Its how the Trump campaign steamrolled the giant Umpa Lumpa into the one of the world's most powerful seats of power.Comforting lies and bias affirming views are always easier than truths and reality.
This station is all part of the Tufton Street > "influencers" > normal media > Tory party > social media process of normalising crank right views. it is not about news but comment/opinion and ensuring the agenda of the rich backers are brought into the mainstream.
That isn't necessary because the left wing control the media landscape, apparently. There is nothing stopping left leaning organisations, sponsors etc from utilising the same channels to deliver their viewpoints, perhaps through a polar opposite channel
Yeah, that's what GB news would have people believe....That isn't necessary because the left wing control the media landscape, apparently.
They do - it works exactly the same. But it does perhaps pose the question, do the left have as much social media presence.
it isn't JUST GB news who do that. The Mail are right at the front of this silliness.Yeah, that's what GB news would have people believe.
there are two facets to that - the ofcom complaints (which are often upheld) and calling for advertisers to boycott them. Both are expressions of free speech and the so called free speech station should cheer them on, instead of moaning about it. I notice they have "memberships" now though, and when I watched on Monday I noticed the advertisers were a bit low end, lots of local businesses in Wales for some reason. (I do not live anywhere near Wales, so it's of no relevance to me)I believe there were attempts to have the channel closed down but thankfully they were unsuccessful.
I suppose that is more a reflection of who allegedly leads the tories right now than anything else. The Ofcom rules don't go into those sorts of nuances, as long as "the party" gets a chance to respond or send a representative then the box has been tickedFor me, the issue is more that it represents a particular opinion within the Conservative Party. though, ironically, their actual weather bulletins are produced by the Met Office at Exeter using actual meterologist presenters - similar to what the BBC used to do until a few years agoAll I know about GB news is that their weather stories make the Daily Express look like meteorological experts. They are complete clickbait nonsense. On that basis I assume everything else they produce is on par with Weekly World News.
