What's going on with the 69s at Tonbridge anyway - they are not yet being used at all regularly. Are there a lot of teething problems?

69004 on its way to Tonbridge today (25th Jan)

Cheers.
Onward move tomorrow: https://live.rail-record.co.uk/train/?c=03389&d=2022-01-25
(Link may expire if vstp becomes invalidated)

Goes to Tonbridge then presumably to Eastleigh at some point, hopefully via Horsham like 69003 did.

My money's on a special livery on this one.
Looks like it may be pencilled in for Thursday.

Sorry, I meant the onward move to Eastleigh is on Thursday. Using the Arun Valley line again... Sadly it looks like I am in a work meeting when it passed through my local station, so I'll probably miss it. :frown:

I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunities to see it - it's only off to Eastleigh for a spot of pigment.

As for special liveries, Eastleigh is getting a name for those lately.:D

It's no better off at Tonbridge though is it, thinking back to 777 deliveries lol.

Just hoping for the rest of the 69s with it, and preferably not a 66 or 73 as a 2 loco move Thurs. Would like several 69s in the shot wherever I see it.

Some saying 69004 to be in 7Y44 consist tomorrow Hoo junction to Eastleigh. Ex 0Y24 today

Looks like 69004 is on the move. The 0Y69, currently approaching Redhill. Then its off to Eastleigh via the Arun Valley. Running solo according to RTT.

No idea I'm not an insider but I heard most would get a special livery. Is there a jubilee livery or something? More have thought maybe a special nameplate for that sort of thing
Given GBRf like their historic BR liveries the Stratford special applied to 47164 for the 1977 Jubilee could be ripe for a reappearance, although hopefully with a more accurate Union Jack!

Seen it suggested that both 69004 and 69005 will both receive special liveries

Afternoon, I visited Longport this morning and there are three 56s parked down the side of the site alongside the decrepit 66.

One of the 56s was clearly 077, the other is in a faded blue / green livery and I could have sworn the final one was 033. However a quick look at my 2021 NREA Spotters Companion doesn’t have 56033 listed.

Am I going crazy or simply misidentified the 56 in question?

Could the faded one have been 009?

I don't think you're going crazy if you're Superb:D

I doubt it was 56038. That was just a prepared shell in primer as far back as May last year. If it was in faded Fertis light grey it was almost certainly 56032.

Looks like a path for 69004 Eastleigh to Brighton Thursday

And Friday morning

I know it's pathed 0Y73 but 004 due to be done soon surely
Believe there's an event of some description at Brighton with a 73, possibly 73212 (I think was mentioned) alongside 69004

Yes also heard 73213 although not sure about event , doesn't seem to be there long enough for a naming , maybe the engineering work is causing the layover

Personally I'd have thought the livery would have been leaked by now
