Some buses have ADL bodies but Scania engines, it could be for this reason or vice versa? Or are they Scania engine and body?
OmniDekkas are Scania chassis/engine and East Lancashire/Optare body

Kirkby Lonsdale Coach Hire have a wide variety of different badges (Albion, Bristol and Crossley at least) on assorted Solos - many illustrated on Flickr.an Optare Solo with a Mercedes badge
No stays as is, also large number of More buses (ex Poole) now permanently allocated to the rebuilt depot.Hello,
With the new depot at Bournemouth, has the Excelsior fleet been transferred somewhere else?
Thank you for the response. I knew Poole had big capacity issues. No stays as is, also large number of More buses (ex Poole) now permanently allocated to the rebuilt depot.
Think you will find its spread out between poole,Bournemouth and mostly pimperne. No stays as is, also large number of More buses (ex Poole) now permanently allocated to the rebuilt depot.
Happy to be corrected, Thought Pimperne was all Damory? - maybe older Excelsior cascaded?Think you will find its spread out between poole,Bournemouth and mostly pimperne.
Nope. Go south coast is more fluid like that. Also excelsior is slowly fading away with its fleet shrinking. Plus there yard in Bournemouth was of more interest to them.
2709 showed up in poole today on the route one. Anyone know if its here to stay?
Still out of Eastleigh depot. Tend to be on 3,4,5 or 35; the last two don't go into Southampton so maybe you were just unlucky.Where are 267-274 operating these days as I was in Southampton the other day and none were seen?
Thanks appears I was very unluckyStill out of Eastleigh depot. Tend to be on 3,4,5 or 35; the last two don't go into Southampton so maybe you were just unlucky.
The new Enviro200 MMC are on buslistsontheweb as HF20 CVC-CVE/CVG/CVH/CVJ; fleet nos. 275-280 albeit not in that order. BLOTW has photos for all of them.Swindon bus company have rolled out 6 new 200mmcs probably to replace the 06 plate scanias.
Is anyone able to tell me if the following E400MMC's are on specific routes? Looking for 1672-1677 (Poole),1678/9(Eastleigh), 1680-1682 (Salisbury),1683-1685 (Eastleigh).
You can see where these buses are and what routes they are on on the Bustimes.org site.
1672-1677 are Morebus:
1678/9 & 1683-1685 are Bluestar:Fleet list – morebus – bustimes.org
bustimes.org
1680-82 are Salisbury Reds:Fleet list – Bluestar – bustimes.org
bustimes.org
You can also see the history of each bus as an example the link is for 1680:Fleet list – Salisbury Reds – bustimes.org

So by checking various days you should be able to build up a pattern of where these buses are generally used.
The Salisbury Reds ones are branded for the activ8. The more bus batch is normally found on the 13 while the latest 3 at bluestar I think are for the 16 or 18 but are not route banded.Great I will thanks, I believe the Salisbury one's are branded, are they route specific?

With National Express now owning the Luckett's group, I can see NX Switching it's contracts over to them instead of GSC soon anyway, which probably explains the shrinking of Excelsior.
Already happened and was always going to happen, Covid or no Covid. The GSC drivers on NX were given the option of TUPEing to Lucketts or switching to local bus ops. Lucketts are opening a base at Bournemouth Airport.
Although some drivers did cover both NX and Excelsior, they were separate units with different pay rates, drivers and controllers. Excelsior had no direct responsibility for the NX routes, which were run out of Poole depot.
