Hi. What's the travel distance between home and these locations need to be? Usually an hour with other TOC's but i cant see it anywhere on the application page, other than you need to have your own transport to get here for shift work...

It takes me around a 90 min commute too the depot I’m at as I don’t currently drive or have a driving licence.

Greater Anglia, they didn’t ask how long in my interview just how I would be commuting as I don’t drive as of yet.
But I commute or my other half drives me in until I’ve passed my driving test early next year hopefully.
Commute with public transport takes me 90 mins but in the car around 40 minutes.

Brill. I noticed it doesn't specify the distance on the application form unlike most TOCs...

It’s been odd for me as I was rejected by c2c due too distance…but it’s not much further than GA
South Eastern withdrew my application because I live the wrong side of the Dartford crossing yet its quicker for me getting too Dartford than it is my GA depot (Dartford 35 mins by public transport or 18 mins in the car) ‍♀️
Weird how all TOCs work.

Throw your hat in as many as you can. Makes no difference to your applications if you apply for both

Just got the email inviting me to take some online assessments, would be very grateful for any advice on what I should expect as this is the first time I’ve applied for a driver role. (Also need to see if anyone at home has a laptop I can use!)

It’s a Situational Judgement test, they’ll give you different scenarios and options on how you’ll respond and you pick the answer you believe is the best

I did it on my iPad, so I think anything with a half decent web browser is acceptable
