175s followed slightly different diagrams back then. Main differences were that Manchester-Llandudno diagrams and North-South Wales diagrams were each self contained, with no crisscrossing of routes mid-diagram. Also nearly all Manchester-North Wales diagrams were 3-car 175s back then. Holyhead-Cardiff was a mixture of 2 and 3-car 175 workings and at least one 158 diagram. There were also two direct evening workings from Carmarthen through to Crewe and Chester which now terminate at Cardiff.
