How far would you consider local?

Every served destination is local, thanks to the logarithmic increase in transport speeds across each class of travel.

Even really long flights - like LHR-HKG, which is 12 hours - can feel local, when you consider that it may depart at 10pm and you could sleep for the entire journey; “unproductive travel time” (defined as time when you could have been awake doing something useful) is what counts.

I would say an additional measure may be the number of changes required to complete a journey. Changing is extremely unproductive and each change makes the entire journey unproductive (for shorter journeys) or adds hours of unproductive travel time (for longer journeys).

Probably 30 min drive each way max. Don't mind driving 15 miles to see a 56 at 2am. I'm in Newhaven area so a 20 min drive to Preston park is acceptable but why go as far as haywards heath
