Hull trains never had a HST before this one as they where an open access operator. Hykeham is not on the Hull line. Its on the Newark to Lincoln line.Nope, I think it was at Hykeham Station

It also had EMT livery on it, so maybe a recent transfer.....Hull trains never had a HST before this one as they where an open access operator. Hykeham is not on the Hull line. Its on the Newark to Lincoln line.
The only thing that has transferred recently has been the Grand Central ones with buffers on last yearIt also had EMT livery on it, so maybe a recent transfer.....![]()
There was a EMT HST from Derby to Skegness and back yesterday not Hull Trains. Quite possibly a crew training run for the HST services in the summer. It also had EMT livery on it, so maybe a recent transfer.....![]()

There isn't an entire unreserved coach, but coaches A and B have some unreserved Standard seating. Are there any unreserved coaches on the HST?
I noticed that the Buffet first doesn't have a coach number on it.There isn't an entire unreserved coach, but coaches A and B have some unreserved Standard seating.
The buffet vehicle is officially coach E (the unreserved coach on the 180s) and I think it has paper labels in the windows. On the HST, you cannot reserve a seat in there, but it is always reserved out with blank labels for use at the guard's discretion - for example for First Class overspill or Weekend First.I noticed that the Buffet first doesn't have a coach number on it.
Todays return to Hull is still 43010 and 43190. Seen by a friend at Washwood Heath

And means people are posting dud gen about 190 being off lease.Makes sense - as 43190 was still on the set with 43010 when I saw it yesterday.
Thank you for posting this. Today, I was able to do 90036 from Leeds to Doncaster, followed by 43190 and 43010 to Hull and back, before travelling with 90019 back to Leeds.Further update: HST now doing both trips on Saturday 23rd - 0823/1148, 1531/1948.

For “celebrity” read power car that had vinyls on that are now out of date and have been removed recently during its E exam. It’s not quite dud. 165 and 190 were both due off this weekend, however 190 has had a stay of execution for the next few days. It will upon its return to GW be coming off this week and will be swapped with one former celebrity.

I was more making a comment on use of “celebrity”. Slapping some sticky-back plastic on a power car does not make it a celebrity.I think that's why he said former...

But I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised in these days of z-list “celebrities” on “I’m a Celebrity on Strictly Love Island” on the telly.
002 is debatable although as first production car it always has some significance. 185 has long had special treatment because of its name - for instance it was used on the GWT launch (after a full repaint in Swallow) way back at the start of privatisation and was one of the first into Merlin livery on that launch as well.In that logic then, does that not discount 002 & 185 as celebrity power cars? Seeing as they are just Power Cars covered in some sticky back plastic? (Which In the case of 185 is peeling badly).
And yes, 027 is likely to take place of 190.
I've noticed that there are a fair number of cancellations/short starts on Hull Trains today - is there any reason why the HST can't cover some of these turns? I thought that it was hired in to prevent cancellations in case of unreliability.
And plus if it ever stays alive by 2021 it can celebrate the 185th anniversary. The whole point was to have two sets so one can cover the other for like this instance.I've noticed that there are a fair number of cancellations/short starts on Hull Trains today - is there any reason why the HST can't cover some of these turns?
