Hello as the title states i have my assessment on the 8th January 2013 for Trainee Train driver :)

Please could anyone help with what ever information you have, i would be very grateful.

Anyone know what the assessment involves? or anyone been through the assessment recently?

I have been doing the bourdon tests and scaat test

My last test was just quickly in my spare time, not too much attention:
Perception & Attention:

Targets Omitted ------------ 6
Marked Incorrect ----------- 1

Speed:

Total Cells ---------------- 1355
Mean Cell Time ------------- 0.287
Median Cell Time ----------- 0.230

Completed Rows ------------- 53
Mean Row Time -------------- 7.193
Median Row Time ------------ 7.180

Vigilance:
Row Fluctuation ------------ 3.34

Usually 3-4 faults!

is there other recommended things i should do?

thank you :)))

Is this for Train Driver or Conductor? You didn't mention in your original post.

I dont know how southern do theirs, but I practiced on the computer version and on the day it was done on paper.

So may be worth printing off several pages and trying it like that.

Tbh I found it easier on paper.

What to not do is over-practice this, getting scores that are extremely higher than what is really needed. This is a waste of time which would be much better spent practising the other elements of the psycho tests.

Best thing to do is just aim for 1300 cells with 3 errors just to be on the safe side then leave it at that.
