Irish Rail or NI Translink Equivalent of Real Train Times Website?

My query is pretty much as stated above.
Does such a site exist either as an independent or run by the Rail Company?

Unfortunately there is no equivalent. Such information is pretty much non existent for the railways over there. So unfortunately other than the published timetables and websites there is nothing else. Irish Rail and Translink Northern Ireland Railways both even refuse to release their working timetables.

Presumably Translink being a UK government based operation you could do a FOI?

That has been tried many times and Translink always refuse to release the Working Timetable under the FOIA using Section 38 (Health & Safety) to refuse it. Irish Rail similarly refuse FOIA requests too. I am not sure why as in England Wales Scotland it is all publicly available.

Probably a hangover from the last fifty-plus years of Irish history, which have been somewhat troubled. Even if the information can be obtained elsewhere, a natural secretiveness and reluctance to give out potentially useful information to those with evil intent will have become embedded.
