Never gonna happen.

This idea was first floated about four years ago, and went quietly away. I don't expect this time to be any different. Probably would be possible on quieter roads, but then if the roads were quiet, this would not be needed.

Those door ramps look a bit steep.

Luckily those are the emergeny escape exits.
"Regular" leaving the vehicle is with one part of the train being lifted into a station, after which doors will slide open. People leave it, people enter it, and it's lifted back down into the vehicle, after which it drives off again.

I remember this plan.
Wouldn't it be better to install a bus lane?
The wheels would take up space anyway and this won't work with tall vans trying to fit under the "bus".
I know it's cool, but it's silly.
