Is there a difference between "National Rail" and "Rail Settlement Plan" stock?

When I bought my ticket from Peterborough to Oakham yesterday I was interested to note that the coupon was endorsed with "National Rail" in the background green lettering.

In the past I am sure that all my tickets have said "Rail Settlement Plan" in the background text.

Is there a material difference between the two?

Many thanks!

:)

Rail Settlement Plan stock is old and National Rail stock is new. The former is being phased out but it will take quite some time for the considerable amount of stock in circulation to be worked through.

There has been a thread on this a while back, not in this subforum. The new "National Rail" stock also has the new logo (with the "confused arrows" enclosed in a solid circle) and (if there isn't a large advertisement) an "endorsements" box on the back, as well as slightly updated text on the back IIRC.
