Scary, I also own a used N64 that was purchased for the sole use of playing Goldeneye. What a fantastic game that was, thoroughly addictive and enjoyable too. I found it somewhat too amusing to keep running into that container where Robbie Coltrane was hidden and just blaze him with the two silver Magnums until the mission failed.......great days!

Even to this day, still possibly the greatest multiplayer shooter ever produced, at least for the replay factor.

Actually just found it, wasn't even in a box. However it had managed to get itself into a cupboard, must have sprouted legs.

simcity 3000 is basicly the same except without regions, less types of building/zone/thing (still the basic RCI system) and lesser graphics, oh and it is waaay easier to make money.

I believe that I should point out that "The Metro" = "The Daily Mail", therefore I believe nothing it says, not that I am a fan boy because I have both the Xbox360 and the PS3, both have faults and good points of their own. Although I should mention that you can't rate consoles solely on one game. Although in the case of Gran Turismo 5, yes I agree that it will probably be one of the better games released but then its been delayed several times (but that can be a good thing since obviously a lot of work was done into the game, but what if the team behind Forza put in the same amount of work?)

In that case GTA IV, runs at 720P on Xbox 360 and 640p on PS3 ! (even then only on medium settings when compared to a PC which can do better, since they are the same game just ported). (Another point remember the trailers for GTA IV, these were Xbox 360 footage and not FMV!)

The only thing that I hate when these threads come up is all the fan boys that show up to defend their "beloved" console, serious the PS3 isn't that much better and they both have flaws... (I have nothing against any single person, just against these types of threads in general since they bring out the worse of people )

I have both consoles and when I had an older style TV (i.e one with the low resolution) the consoles seemed similar (but the xbox 360 was noisier) but now that I have a 42" TV the PS3 really comes into it's own, the extra pixels really have a massive difference, although I like the xbox 360 aswell the PS3 just seem's like the better console.

Not sure why the Dreamcast failed so well? it was a great little thing!

My understanding is that the Dreamcast suffered from having game discs that were easily copied and Sega's early release gambit didn't gather enough steam before the ps2 hit the market.

It was a nice enough platform with many innovations (online gameplay, keyboard/mouse, web browsing, data transfer with portable handheld VMUs, microphone attachments) which are standard today. If the battery life of the VMUs was better (or they used cheaper batteries!) I'm sure they'd have been like the tamagochi craze on schoolyards.
