The above formation did run ablight 105 minutes late through Bristol Parkway earlier on today Tuesday the 13th April with the full formation off 8 coaches with a business zone livery coach on the rear .
With all the coaches with full decals on chiltern railways by arriva . Rake was formed off 8 coaches. However this made a superb pleasure to see 2x 20 on a rake off coaches bringing back many happy memories off those mid 1980s .
Saturday regional railways holiday maker specials. Shame it's going though.
Would the 8 coaches have been 11094, 12012, 12019, 12026, 12027, 12041, 12115 and 12151?

It's an odd one - I can't see any obvious paths from Mossend for them either. I wonder if the SRPS have taken them for a PRM compliant tour rake?

SRPS are investing in their Mark 1 set at the moment to make it fit for use after April 2023.

We may not have been able to run a railtour since 2019 but that doesn’t mean we have been inactive. A major upgrade programme is underway using contractors and our volunteers
@bonessrailway
I'm not sure they would need a Mark 3 set.

Could it just be spares for Scotrail?

The mystery deepens - DRS or a ScotRail LHCS rake? I thought only DRS operate out of Motherwell now?
Neither. Suggestion it is for recovery of bogies for the Irish Belmond Mark 3 set which is transferring elsewhere and needs standard gauge running gear.

I'll challenge if 12017 was in the train and that it wasn't 12019 instead? 12017 isn't a Porterbrook vehicle that all the others are and 12019 was one of those in the planned, not ditched, Chiltern set.

However what a lovely colourful combination off coaches hauled by 66705 passed through penkridge on time. Many thanks to post 185 for tip off. A essential car trip up m42 and m6 to get this one.
However its 8 coaches ex chiltern rake complete with chiltern logos and decals still and a 1st class business zone in chiltern railways decals and branding to.
Also as well 4 abeillo Anglia coaches with 3 off them in abeillo Anglia branding as well.
Looking very smart and very clean and very immaculately presented.
Keeping it brief for this thread maybe it could be for future use. As the chiltern set is prmed and has screens inside.
However what a lovely combination though off vehicles.
The ex chiltern mk3 eastleigh set has only been at long marston for a week.

Isn't that summarised in the first post, matching up numbers to what Greater Anglia operated?

The list at Long Marston (ex GA) would appear to be most relevant, plus those which have gone for further use.

57310 with 6346 moving 11093 on 5E58 08:15 DERBY RTC to ROBERTSRD 29/04/21
There was a report that two Mk3s were moved from Derby RTC to Castle Donington by 37601 on April 26. Does anyone know their identity please. Also No. 10242 left Long Marston by road on April 8 but where to? Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

Greater Anglia had no 102xx vehicles at the end of Mk3 service, most were converted to 104xx miniature buffet vehicles. If you work out what they became you should be able to locate them, for example:
10200 is now 10411 with LSL
10203 is now 10412 at Northampton and Lamport
10216 is now 10414 at Mid Norfolk
10228 is now 10416 with LSL

This link will give you some current numbers

Interestingly, one full length RFM did escape Greater Anglia before the 104XX conversions came in - 10229 which went off lease, then had a short spell with GWR on the Night Riviera, before joining the Pretendolino at TPE with their training rake and finally ending up with Eastern Rail Services. It still retains it's National Express "ONE" interior.

So this leaves only five of the ex-Caledonian Mk 3 sleepers not accounted for:
10542, 10561, 10680, 10706 stored at Long Marston
That'll be down by one now as 10680 has found a new home at the South Devon Railway at Buckfastleigh.

A YouTube video taken at Crewe Heritage Centre yesterday shows ex Pretendolino coaches 12011 and 11007 sitting opposite the class 37. I wonder if this is storage or if the Crewe Heritage Centre has acquired them both?

Both preserved by the Heritage Centre, along with DVT 82118.

That's not actually strictly true, I don't believe. 11007 and 12011 were quoted as acquired by the owners of 47712 - appropriate as they are ex-Edinburgh-Glasgow Mark 3s.

The Heritage Centre itself has acquired 12114 and 82118.

37611 has just Been through islip with x5 standard class mk3 coaches ex transport for wales sets and vehicles going to bicester north at full speed making a nice scene as it went through the station on the 1133 castle donnington emdc to bicester mod Gbrf Depot.
Looking like rail operations group are slowly but surely moving the stock coaches wise from there to bicester mod.
However train went through to fast for vehicles.
Has anyone captured them.
What a pity this fantastic little formation with a dvt from bicester mod cannot be used by chiltern on a oxford to London Marylebone to assist gwr.
However 5 x mk3 standard coaches have transfer from castle donnington to bicester mod Gbrf.
