Quick one - there used to be a website that listed all the UK charter rolling stock - can anyone give me a link as I can't find it (assuming still there!)

On a similar note, the Riviera Trains Great Briton rake (I believe Mk2E or Fs?), and the "Spirit of the Lakes", what are these comprised of, were they originally the Mk2 Pullmans built for Manchester (& Liverpool?) Pullman trains - and were those Mk2s D/E/F variants or earlier (images suggest D+ from the windows).

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Railways_Mark_2

I think I've probably got my understanding completely wrong - so happy to be corrected :)

cheers,

I've often wondered where a rake goes after you don't see it for many years. I saw 70000 bring a rake down the Settle and Carlisle railway a few years ago and I've never seen it before or since.

I presume that this is the page you are searching for:
http://www.railtourinfo.co.uk/coach.html

Although there is also this one:
http://www.uksteam.info/tours/trs18.htm#chs

West Coast Railway Co operate the former Manchester Pullman mark 2s, which I presume is the "Spirit of the Lakes" rake to which you refer. They're not classified as mark 2D/E or F, despite being air conditioned, as they were a bespoke design, built in 1966, specifically for the Manchester service, that predate the production air-con mark 2 vehicles by five years.

The "Great Briton" rake was disbanded a couple of years ago, and I believe that the constituent vehicles are now in use with Locomotive Services Ltd in Pullman umber and cream livery and with Riviera Trains in BR blue and grey livery, but they were primarily mark 2F FOs.
