Interesting, I only just noticed a few weeks ago that terravision had withdrawn their services. I would say good riddance also. Their vehicle maintenance left a lot to be desired, I don't believe that coaches running with duct tape sticking it together should even be allowed out into 'revenue' earning service. However that is only my opinion, and as I have no experience in the industry people may disagree, however looking at the reviews on different websites of the said company, they do not seem to be the best
I wish the new operator well and hope that they will not follow in the departed companies fashion.

Looking at the Website it would seem the Service does not stand a chance, Only pre booked tickets allowed and if no one is booked on the Service it wont operate... With Terravision aka Duck Tape buddies you could just turn up and buy a ticket witch was great!

North West Coachlines seems to be a reincarnation of Gorillabus (same address) which had a fancy website but did not normally operate!

I Believe it is, When they started up a couple of years ago someone on the Merseyside Dennis Darts Forum claimed the Manager had only just returned after being banned from operating Transport Companys however i cant find that Feed anymore so it would appear it was removed

As Terravision are a franchise not an operator you have to wonder whether vehicles in that condition could have been a breach of the franchise requirement. That certainly wouldn't have gone down well if it had been on a NX franchised service.

That is a coach broker's website, beyond any shadow of a doubt, and as such any promises made, services offered and pledges of vehicle quality should be taken with a sack full of salt.

The average coach broker is not to be trusted as far as they can be thrown. They act as middlemen, take a cut for doing next to nothing and then walk away with no redress when things go pear shaped for the hirer, as they often do in these situations.

North West Coachlines do have Coaches as they have been spotted on Rail Replacements in the past so i expect should one of us place a booking the Service will operate

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
May I remind you of this thread - http://www.railforums.co.uk/showthread.php?t=102887 ? It was actually yourself who sent me a PM which prompted me to look at what Steve Elms was doing post-Gorilla Bus.

July 2014, when that occurred, has now been subsumed into the ever-widening of my "senior moment" forgetfulness syndrome. Thankfully, your memory is far keener than mine these says....

Maybe, but the rest of the crap on there screams 'coach broker'. They are despised by genuine operators and rightly so.

I notice tickets are being sold by Terravision for the same service. Although, a note on the Northwest Coachlines site says "If you purchased your ticket before October 2016 it is no longer valid and you should contact Terravision directly to obtain a new ticket. "

But "Private Hire meaning the carriage of passengers for hire or reward" would appear not to include the operation of a stage carriage service or similar, only the hire of a complete vehicle, no?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
And I'm amused to think that anyone would think that this clause was necessary...

The Company specifically
does not permit the carriage or use of any
item designed to facilitate the inhalation of nitrous oxide on its vehicles.
