I did happen to spot 91111 on the rear passing through Leeds earlier. First Class at the front/county end, so not sure if it's being pressed into service expediently or if it will be turned somewhere.
Should be back in service tomorrow. But every Wednesday at the moment is a staff refresher move to/from Peterborough.

Apparently, LNER has said the the 800's might be out of action for a good while. So the 91's could be in action for a good few weeks

Which probably takes them to the point where they were planned to be reintroduced anyway.

Contradicts what staff have been told, which is the Azumas could be starting to return to traffic from this weekend, with the return to there covid timetable from Monday.

Also to note, the second mk4 set will not be in service Thursday as it is not yet ready.

That’s great, thanks. Fingers crossed nothing changes between now and the morning to prevent that from happening!

Fine effort to get them out three weeks earlier than planned.

Are they likely to be out at the weekend now that the 80x fleet is returning?

Ah, not the second diagram I had been expecting then, I’m sure the list I’d seen the other day suggested a York - Peterborough diagram. Never mind, I can work around these diagrams!

Your posts here are incredibly useful, thanks!

The plan originally was York - Peterboroughs, however if the train needed tanking then there was no where to do it during the day, so it has been amended to a King Cross diagram.

Is there a reason why they cannot use the Shipley Triangle for turning sets?
91's already use two sides of the triangle, is there an issue with clearance on the third side?

Most likely pathing. The coaches can squeeze through the curve theoretically (they're shorter than a 333's coaches), but a full 2+9 set would probably occupy the points at both ends, which makes turning a 225 set during timetabled service untenable.

Could run all the way to Skipton and then back to Forster Square. Bit the issue might be if LNER drivers don't sign all 3 sides of the triangle.

The Skipton to Bradford curve is very very tight if I recall and I very much doubt Mk 3 or Mk 4 stock would be cleared for it.

Any idea what’s happened with 91110 on 1D22? Appears to have terminated at Grantham, now running ECS to Doncaster, and seemingly set to resume the service from Doncaster.

I’m a bit confused by this, as normally an operational incident would cancel the remainder of the trip entirely, which doesn’t appear to have happened here? Or am I misunderstanding?

All depends on nature of the incident, who was involved etc, also may of authorised to move forward to a certain place to be relieved by a fresh crew.

Fair enough, I’m not clued up on operational incidents, I just assumed they usually were something that caused no end of chaos!

I’m not complaining cause it means I’ve got a carriage to myself
