LNER Season Ticket on Smartcard - issue of Gold Record Cards

Does anyone have any recent experience of buying the season ticket and getting the gold record card sent out by LNER? I have done it multiple times with Chiltern and they are very good at sending it out shortly after I buy it but I am worried LNER do not understand the process. I want to buy it through LNER to take advantage of the AMEX offer but not if they are unable to send out the record card.
They understand the process and they should have it sorted now, strangely enough just talking about it in the last half hour.

Thank you that is helpful. Is there a number of someone I can ring at LNER to confirm this as I just rang the number on the internet and whilst they said they would look into it they didn't know anything about it? I suspect I will have to buy again from Chiltern as I am only buying the ticket for the gold record card so if I can't guarantee to get this quickly then I will need to buy from a train company that I know understands it.

Are you able to go to Kings Cross and buy in person?

I used the ticket office at Kings Cross last week and got the AMEX cash back. Kings Cross can also issue the Gold Record card.

My understanding is you can only buy it in person if the location you are buying it from is covered by the rail card you are buying. Is that not correct? Did they issue you with a gold card at the same time?

Any ticket office can issue a season ticket. If it qualifies as a Gold Card, and the station you’re buying it from is in the Gold Card area then you’ll be given a Gold Record Card.

I got a Hatton to Lapworth season issued at Kings Cross last year.
