problem with 37521 apparently

Both locos. 667 dead. 521 low on coolant. After a lot of shuffling around and a top up on Long Rock, it’s just past me in Liskaerd 185 minutes late. 47810 being sent down from Crewe to relieve the errant 37s.

Unfortunately not. Family stuff happening this weekend!

Did the tour get to Bristol ok in the end?
Late but yes, 667 seemed to be shut down (leading), 521 seemed to be doing what little power it could. Poor old 47810 has its work cut out up to at least Shrewsbury hauling 2 dead 37s + the rest of the train up the marches.

I don’t know if they’ve done a loco swap at Shrewsbury or Crewe but I’d be surprised if the 37s stay on all the way. Either way with the 47 on it’s made up some time.

Atleast something with an '810' in it's tops number is working hard
Excellent

Just to add to the fun of his trip, 47712 hauling 55022 (the bubble car not the other thing) has expired outside Hexham and has been blocking the Tyne Valley for an hour. It is now in the loop awaiting recovery.

His little outing this weekend is not providing a great reflection of his fleet. 2x 37s failing yesterday and now 47712 has gone as well - me thinks the owner might be arranging a meeting with his fleet of engineers in the coming week

I wonder how much delay/repay money will need to be paid to other operators?

Somewhere, not in London

Knowing the behaviours of the company in question, the meeting will likely result in walkouts or job losses.

Last time I had the misfortune to be on that site the loco I was supposed to be on ended up being sent out to rescue the “boss’ train” as well.

Kind of glad I ain’t been back since.

bubble car used to propel 712 into the sidings. Fault found and continued ok
