I have not done medicals, I am still waiting to hear. Did you get a phone call?
Hi, it’s very likely that they will call closer to your start date to get you booked in for the medical the week or two before. Hopefully you hear back then.

I was wondering how csa's and others deal with fatigue from shift work? I have an interview coming up for a csa2 role and I would love to get someone's perspective.

I've done shift work for my other job, so I'm used to working early/late. I just have to plan ahead and make sure I go to bed early or have mid-day naps.

It is done at a location right outside of London Bridge station I believe.
Thank you, presume I will get told how to book it?

They will send you an email to tell you it's done , I think you need to continue to give them a call. You have to check if you have the right number , mine took just under two weeks
thanks, Can you share the number you called? I have 01613838285 of REED screening. Is there any other different number?

Try high volume onboarding number
This past Friday, the TFL onboarding number was on hold all day, and later calls simply went unanswered. I tried reaching them several times between 10am and 5pm, but there was no one available. I'll try again on on Monday.

Fisrt week: CSA2 Lisense trains

Day 1: You get good stuff and introduction to most things. Nothing major. You get iPad, Free Oyster Card, maybe uniforms (make sure to bring a large luggage), or else it will be difficult to carry that large box. They will assign you a station on that day and you will have 3 days to swap with someone mutually from your group if you prefer.
Day 2: Fire module, safety and so on modules
Day 3: Begins with assessment of fire module, you need to pass which is at 80%. After assessment you do other modules such as tracks.
Day 4: Communication and tickets related modules
Day 5: Another assessment, then mostly training on Radios and how to operate them.

2nd week: CSA1 license trainni
Day 6: Mainly Traction current plus other modules
Day 7: SATS, then you go in a station to practice things like making announcements in the platform such as "stand behind the yellow line"
Day 8: Lifts and escalators training, one in Tottenham Court Road and another nearby station.
Day 9: Major assessment Covering Day 6 and 7, you need to pass it. After that you go home.
Day 10: First aid training.

3rd and 4th week, you will do live learning at a station, basically shadowing someone.
Hi, do we get nominee pass on the start date too?

I advise you dont stop calling. I called about 7/8 times immediately lo when the call ended after hearing ‘ the number cannot answer your call’ and most times, my calls were answered after lots of tries

I had my role play assessment today and it was about a homeless person begging for money in the station while playing the guitar. I think it made it obvious that I was confused about how to handle the situation. After which the homeless person wanted to travel and said she didn’t have enough money to get to where she wanted to seek shelter. She was also very difficult and uncooperative. I failed the role play and couldn’t proceed to SBI. However for the sake of closure, how should I have handled this and when next can I apply for this job. I’m pretty sad because I really tried preparing for this role play thing.
Smile and introduce yourself.
First of, busking (playing guitar and soliciting funds) is prohibited except the person has a permit
You could have been sympathetic and explained the need for a permit and just throw TFL policies around it (its part of the piece of paper they gave us to familiarise ourselves). Explain the risk of prosecution, should she refuse.
When she parks up her stuff after you persuaded her to, ask how she intends to get home, or if there is need to propose a shelter for her. Always let them out of the station for health and safety reasons

Got my SBI coming up, and I'm really nervous about it.
Remain calm

Hello anyone know what the training salary is currently at now that it's full salary is 33k?
Thanks
Should be 26640

Yes all done
Have they sent you a contract?

I appreciate your advice. During my call with REED Screening, they confirmed my background check is finished and will be sent to TFL.

They normally will send you your contract stating your start date and salary. I got my contract before I got booked for occupational health. I know they have recruited into Mid-June already but please do not drop a notice until you get a start date. You can call them tfl onboarding to know the progress of your onboarding

I have my assessment at Ashfield tomorrow, the only practice material I've received is the ticket.
Is there anyone with an idea what to expect aside the tickets?

There is a text you have to read
Map Knowledge
Ticket checking- the one you got sent.

Nothing really that you can practise, they go through it all before you start. You have to work quickly.

Good luck :)

That Timeline is helpful for everyone.

Could I question week 4? I understood that was back at Ashfield for POM training?

How long does it take for the confirmation email to arrive after the final assessment?

I'm sorry, I totally forgot what is in stage 2. Could you please remind me so I can try to help?

It says Written Communication Test and a Data Interpretation Test
By now, you should have received practice materials through your personal email. If you haven't, you can access them here: https://pdfhost.io/v/.Om8oRbfH_CSA1_Practice_Materials. Please review them before your test. The test is not difficult, but it is timed, so be mindful of your time. Don't panic and listen carefully to the instructions, as they are very strict. You will only be allowed to use a pencil for the test, and erasers and pencils will be provided. The test has two timed parts. If you feel confident after reviewing the practice materials, you have a very good chance of passing. You will also be given a zone map to answer questions with. Be quick at finding stations using the grid reference, as this will allow you to answer more questions within the time limit.

Please take proof of address ( utility bill, council tax) Identity ( driving licence or passport)

According to their email, you were expected to dress in business attire, such as a suit or formal wear. However, I saw many people come in casual clothes, and even one person wearing a hoodie. I decided to dress formally, but ultimately, the choice is yours.

When you arrive, queue up at the reception to confirm your presence with the security guard. They will take your details, including your phone number, and provide you with a lanyard that you must return when you leave. You'll be asked to wait in the lobby. It's recommended to use the restrooms as soon as possible, as you won't know when you'll be called next. A Transport for London (TfL) employee will escort you to the test center on the 4th or 5th floor. Once there, you will need to queue up again to verify your identity.

The questions will be very similar to those in the practice materials. Ticket checking and answering questions about tickets can be the most confusing part, so spend extra time carefully looking at the tickets and understanding the zones. In the questionnaire, there will be a handwriting question to assess your handwriting. This is likely because you may need to write customer information on station notice boards, and it should be clear and readable. Don't hesitate to ask me if you have any further questions. Thanks.

Thank you for highlighting the issue. The information I have provided is based on the email I received. Therefore, if you choose to take only ID, please do so as per your email. Good luck with your test!

This is the information I received:

"***Documentation***

Internal Candidates: Please have a photo ID prepared for the interview for identification purposes.

External Candidates: Please ensure you bring the following documentation along to your interview:

  • Proof of Right To Work - Passport or full birth certificate, including visa / work permit if applicable. Candidates not from the UK or Ireland should obtain a Sharecode online: https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work
  • Proof of Address - such as a Driving License or bank / utility bill dated in the last 3 months or a Council Tax statement issued in the last 12 months.
  • Proof of National Insurance Number - such as a P60, P45, a recent payslip or a letter from HMRC.
Failure to present these documents as outlined above may result in the possible rescheduling of the interview or the possible termination of the interview.

Thank you. This information will be helpful for new applicants, but what is the point of opening the new vacancy when they cannot fill the post with waiting applicants?

Did you sort out your shift timings problem?
As the new ad for night tube also mentions part time roles, does anyone know if you can opt for those instead if you've already been offered night tube from the previous campaign?
