I got this same scenario, however I told her to calm down reassured her we’d do our best to find the bag. Asked her for the colour and what she had in her bag. Asked her if she had a phone as I would give her the details to contact lost property however letting her know it takes up to 15 days as they’re very busy. It is a bit tricky but I tried to relax and remembered to try give her the best solution.

I’m late august I reckon training will be ending of may. So 3 months from now

Does anyone know how many months the 80% pay is for? Also does anyone know what the pay increase for tfl Csa 2 is?

The CSA2’s will be on £35,270 a year and your 80% training rate will last as long as your training lasts for I believe it’s 3 weeks at the moment but it might be longer. Once you officially land in stations after doing your TSID training you will be paid the full CSA2 rate.

I believe 80% covers the training phase of 2 weeks
I applied for night aswel, and i have been told the same. Hope we get the date quick
did you do your medical
I got my conditional offer last may I think

April booked up already? I really hope that includes some candidates given conditional offers in late July as last I saw it was only up to 8th July!

So close yet so far!

Had my conditional at the start of September and medical at the start of November - nothing this far on a possible training date.

I did give them a call yesterday to see if there was any update and spoke to somebody, she just said the usual "processing July candidate dates" and that was it. She wouldn't give me an estimate and told me to wait for the call.

She did say I'd have to probably update some screening stuff as the previous ones would have expired by the time I get a start date. I'm guessing the DBS check or medical, hopefully nothing else as my current employer has scrapped the HR department and is now based centrally at head office (going to be a nightmare to process references of needed again)

I think I'm just going to stick this job to the back of my mind now as the wait is killing me, getting into TFL is one of the best things to happen in my work career and I can't wait to start. My current job sadly is starting to test my patience and sticking it out is one of the hardest things I've ever done - for those of you who have ever been stuck in a job you despise you'll fully understand the feeling.

Anyway I think I'll just wait patiently now for the next few months and keep an eye on over posters on this forum, hopefully some August applicants get the call soon.
Totally understand the feeling of being fed up and having your patience tested at your current job. The day I hand in my notice will be the most relieving day of my life!

I’m just as shocked, I also hope that’s the majority of July conditional offer candidates booked and they start looking into august

Remember... Naynay1 said he is a June offer and still waiting for training date so he/she might not be full time CSA2 .( Edit - he is a night CSA1 just checked previous messages)

I can't be sure but the waiting list for training is different for full time CSA2 and part time or night shift candidates.

Going to be positive

I appreciate it's frustrating waiting for training, but it's honestly fruitless discussing it. The wait for training isn't linear, training is delivered according to "business needs*". So it doesn't really matter when you passed your assessments, it depends on the requirements of LU.

It wouldn't be correct to say for example, "They train 10 people per week, so by after 10 weeks they will have 100 people trained." If LU don't have a need for 100 people they won't train them. (Being the entry grade, current CSA requirement can be dependent on retirement, promotions, secondments, and so on. It's quite unpredictable.)

Similarly, if there is a requirement for e.g. night tube staff, they will be prioritised over full time, even if the night tube trainee passed their assessments much more recently than full time candidates.

To be honest, this waiting game is something that will follow you around the company as you move station groups, gain promotion, or transfer train depots, so it is something you will be forced to get used to. ;)

I personally think LU/Reed could/should manage expectations better, but they don't have the will, or maybe ability, so we are where we are. It's the same for every campaign to be honest, you just have to hold on to the hope that it will be worth it in the end.

*Business needs is a term you will hear a lot within LU and is used to allow the company to bend the rules according to their own needs.

I just want to echo @Mawkie's post - it's something I've said a lot myself on these threads, albeit perhaps not as eloquently! Put the role to the back of your mind, and it'll come when it comes. It was always advertised as a waiting list, not an immediate start.

It is worth saying that there is a lot of change happening on stations this year as part of a mini re-organisation of Groups and Areas, and training has been pretty cut in half until these changes take place - existing staff have priority for moves and transfers, and it's hard to plan where staff are needed until these changes take place. The project isn't due to be largely complete until the Summer, so I wouldn't expect any major ramp up this side of June, if I'm honest.

Hey, got offered CSA1 night tube in June but still haven’t heard anything. Completed my references but haven’t been given a medical or training date yet? Has anyone from the same time period been given any dates to start?

I agree it’s fruitless discussing start times (as obviously it won’t get us any closer lol!) but I personally think it’s nice to be able to relate with people we may one day work with and air some frustrations (and impatience from sheer excitement!) with people who can relate.

What I will say is Mawkie and bluegoblin7, you two have been invaluable and when I was researching for the role (more so role play and sbi) your contributions in the previous campaign thread really helped me out, so thank you!

I agree wholeheartedly to everything you've said, including the help from Mawkie and Bluegoblin7 ! This forum is a safe place for solidarity amongst all of us 'selected' to be at the bottom of the ladder - and it IS exciting! I really hated my old job, but gave my required 3 months notice - and trained my replacement. To fill in the gap I am applying for temporary jobs, but I keep coming back here so I can keep pinching myself that I have still got this fantastic job in the pipeline.

I think people should make a post when they’ve received a training date and when their conditional offer was sent.

This will give us all an indication that we should be offered soon or we can make a phone call to arrange training.

I know we all are patiently waiting and as frustrating as it is the wait will be worth it!

That would be a good idea
