Here’s hoping to hear some late July candidates get some dates so we can do another ‘guess the start date’ round as August offers lol

I gave them a call few days ago, seems like it is going to be a long wait for Night CSA1’s…

You have to also remember a lot of current full time staff in the company may have changes to their personal circumstances and usually may opt in to changing their working hours from full time to part time night tube.

CSA2 Start Date 9th June 2025. I actually applied on the closing date of 9th June 2024!
I was 2nd August 2024 conditional offer via email.
Today I have been given the earliest possible start date of 9th June 2025 (I didn't ask what the later dates are).
Bear in mind they ask if you have any holidays booked, and your period of notice for a current job.
I'd already worked my 3 months notice, have no holidays booked, and just been enjoying some 'down time!'
Can't wait to start!

Congrats!
I really had September in my head. Thought I’d gotten away with not having to tell them about my holiday as it would’ve been and gone! Very excited either way

Wow, absolutely fantastic news - congratulations on getting a start date and I bet you are over the moon. I'm September 4th I think so "hopefully" I might be potentially looking at an early July start, I'm hoping I was one of the few stragglers at the end of the campaign so probably not a lot of people left.

Well done and see you around on a station soon!

I’m sure you know, but it’s worth a reminder - if your holiday falls during the classroom training (first three weeks) you will need to delay your start, or cancel your holiday.

It should be honoured, for this year only, after that time, as long as it is alerted as soon as possible after getting your offer (you may need to tell onboarding, Skills Development and your local management as you progress).

Congratulations to everyone getting offers through - as always, feel free to say hi if you ever see me at Ashfield House (pink hair), or reach out internally.

And join a Union. ;)

Thank you for the reminder but yes it is being kept in mind! It is a couple of weeks in August so I will discuss it with them prior to accepting any dates.
Last thing I want is for it to be an issue but it was booked 8 months before I even applied for the job so it’s been a while :)

I've not known it is to be an issue in over ten years for anyone who has been prompt in their communication, unless it's been in their classroom training or suffering performance issues shortly after.

That’s reassuring. I will absolutely speak to them about it when I finally get the call :)

I’m early September too bro, so I’ll most likely be training with you then. I agree I don’t think there’s much of us september lot (there was only 3 ppl in my interview)

I REALLY hope as soon as possible because I’m extremely fed up of still being an unemployed 24-year old guy who previously failed last time to get this dream job and I really miss doing this during my internship program two years ago :'(
