Good afternoon all,

It has been reported elsewhere that the three USATC Class S160 2-8-0s that were either under/awaiting restoration on the Great Central Railway (Nottingham) at Ruddington (1631, 2138 and 2364) have been moved to a new location after changing hands. Does anyone know where they have gone, please? Also, does anyone happen to know what happened to the LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 (8274) that used to be at Ruddington? I believe this left the GCR(N) several years ago and may have moved to the same site as LMS Black 5 4-6-0 44901 and LMS diesel shunter 7069, but I have never seen confirmation of this in any of the various railway magazines.

Thanks,

Ian

The rusted hulk of what appears to be an S160 has recently appeared at Cockshute storage yard, north of Stoke-on-Trent. That could be one of them, though I couldn't tell you which unfortunately.

Bit of googling suggests 8274 moved to a private site in Malvern but obviously not confirmed
