Knowing a couple of people who’ve worked for them, and the way they’ve described the management culture, would put me off personally!
That's a very general assumption you make there. It depends depot to depot.

Certain places such as Newcastle and York, culture wise aren't great. Nothing to do with management, just has a few mardy people who love to complain at the slightest inconvenience and create this complex that the whole world is against them because control took more than 10 secs to answer their call.

However depots such as Preston, Piccadilly and Liverpool are absolutely banging, great set of drivers.

As always, there will be a certain few drivers who just like to whine and moan for the sake of it.

Driver management are really supportive, and if you speak with drivers, 90% of them are extremely content. I do agree that the recruitment for qualifieds, as mentioned further up this thread, is a bit lackluster and downright shocking at times, if the mentioned experiences are true.

But apart from that, TPE is most drivers dream. 67k, some depots, like Preston, have amazing route cards as well as a really good roster, T&Cs are very very good (a lot of which aren't known to 'outsiders').

Not really an assumption, but something I’ve been told by two drivers I know and trust, neither of whom are Mardy types. Both have been very happy at other operators. Fully appreciate experiences differ but that would be enough to put me off personally, as in my experience, there’s no smoke without fire. Each to their own, of course!

£67k is okay but not exactly stellar for IC type work.

Can any Lumo drivers help me out, please?

Is the salary circa 68k? Has that been agreed for 25/26, or is there a new pay deal offered? With it being April and all

Is there a rdw min payment, or is it straight hours worked?

Is Sunday part of the working week?

What are the weekly contracted hours? 4 day week, or not?

Thanks

Are they recognised by Aslef (to barter their pay deals)?

Regards the Stirling depot, I'll be intrigued to see what interest they get from ScotRail drivers. The basic at SR is £64k now and Sundays are still outside the working week, so if you do your booked Sundays you're on about £68k a year anyway, with better conditions than most TOCs and immense job security.
Also, within the next five years or so Sundays will become part of the working week, and when that happens it'll be another big salary hike that will put SR on a good bit more than the likes of TPE, Lumo etc.
For me, it's not enough money to make a ScotRail driver jump ship. That said though, Stirling depot itself has a very small route knowledge and very monotonous suburban type work, so someone might be willing to take on the added risk just to have a change of scenery for a few years.
