No, it is still around but currently out of traffic at Southport awaiting the wheel lathe.

I saw one 507 set leave Southport today around 1030. I live aside the line and all I’ve seen all day is 777s. Could that have been 507 011 I saw?
The Ormskirk line lates are in the hands of 507001 + 010 (2017 Liv Cen - Ormskirk), 507021 + 023 (2047) and 507014 + 016 (2117) tonight.
021 and 023 are due to work the last service of the evening, the 23.47 from Central. There is surely an outside chance this will be the final revenue-earning service on the Ormskirk line to be 507-operated. Fitting in a way if the set named after Aintree's finest horse runs the last working on the line.

507011 has been out of action for a while now, from the 4th March to the best of my knowledge. It may not end up getting repaired given the limited time the 507s have left.
507018 is also another unit which has been out of action for sometime.

No, they will go in 2's as a 6 car with the loco (either straight to Sims in Newport or via Crewe South Yard) over the course of the next few weeks.

"Very clever" WHATS THE POINT ON THAT?!!
Not a museum, but Merseyside Fire & Rescue are to receive at least two driving carriages of a Class 507. 507015 reportedly is/was earmarked for this purpose and if so, it definitely won't be leaving with 011.
As for 021, it is another set running low on mileage and of the 15 left, the longest since overhaul by several months.

507021s been crap for months, quite a few of them are in a diabolical state thanks to stadler

Is there much chance of anything still running by June, or is May expected to be the end of scheduled passenger service?
Remember 01 and 03 are running on Branch Line Society special sometime this summer. No date available yet
