I would have thought the Welsh government were quite happy with Cardiff and Newport running their own buses.

your source please... there is no information on either nat or rct websites about this... this is the 2nd time today that I know of that you have posted about timetable changes {the other being T1c} without providing a link to your source. As far as I am aware there are no changes to nat services apart from a few minor t/table adjustments to the 145 in swansea this week.

In any case, any changes to contracts announced over the last week or so will have had NOTHING to do with the CDG takeover. With the lead times of contract procurement and notice periods then any changes announced over the next few weeks will have happened whoever owns NAT and are NOT caused by the takeover.

There are some notices of cancellations in last week's N&Ps; mostly evening and Sunday services. Nothing major.

so nothing to do with the takeover by CDG then... just normal procurement/ business development... decisions that were taken BEFORE the announcement of the takeover...

Yep. Haven't seen corresponding registrations from Stagecoach though, so maybe Bwsbro has another source.

could be just another case of a council taking a long hard look at where it can save money and then taking the easy option of cancelling support for bus services of course....
