Network Rail DMU

On my commute into Glasgow Central this morning,my train passed a Network Rail 2 car DMU but because of where I was sitting I didn't get to see it clearly or it's number so can't say exactly what it was. Does anybody know? Cheers!

Sounds like 950001....

There are a few options based on that description.

950001 - A unit built from a 150/1 body shell (purpose built)

MPV - Multi-purpose vehicle, essentially a flat wagon with a cab built on each vehicle, used for railhead treatment trains and similar.

Class 101 - A converted Class 101 2-car unit, most often used to move test cars about the country, although I don't think it is used any more.

It was 950001. Reported on scot-rail.co.uk as working 2Q08 Craigentinny - Mossend via the world this morning.

It lives? Have you fixed it? Last time i saw it the old 950 was looking very sheepish in Derby!
