New Station for Okehampton

Coming in 2025.

The West Devon Transport Hub project will deliver a brand new, purpose-built railway station as an exciting next step for the Dartmoor Line.

The station is planned to open in 2025 as part of the £15 million project.

Funding comes from the government’s Levelling Up Fund (£13.4m), Devon County Council (£1.4m), West Devon Borough Council (£120,000) and Network Rail (£25,000).

200 parking spaces does not seem adequate given that most will be long stay ie arrive early am and leave pm. Much cheaper to over provide at the design and build stage than have to find the money for expansion in a couple of years ahead. Tiverton Parkway operates at max capacity.
