The tap in question was one that was installed three years ago when this house was built on a six property five-bedroom development site and this week, all strange unmusical wailings have begun to make their presence felt. Have any website members had a similar problem with relatively new taps?

Could be an air lock developing in the pipe for that tap - especially if the washer is starting to perish. Hot tap washers tend to go quicker than cold tap washers.
