Hi I am new to TfL, I get anxious about forms.

I applied for my season ticket loan, and have received it in feb pay.

What do I do next?

I have a photo ready for a card, do I apply for a smart card.

Please advise me.

Lisa

It will be easier to give you advice if you can state what the journey for the season ticket will be, as this will affect the options available.

If it’s just travelling on TfL zones you can just buy an annual travelcard on the TfL website and it’s added to an existing Oyster card. You won’t need a photo if all the travel is in TfL zones.
But if you are buying from a National Rail operator it will be different.

I think from the OP's post this will be a member of TfL staff wanting an annual season for travel on National Rail services to London. Which is why the journey details are key to how to proceed.

Hi yes it is national rail, from Kent into Charing cross
You're asking for advice, but you're not giving us the information we need to give it.
You need to be more forthcoming than you are - "Kent" is too vague.
What exactly do you want to achieve and - in return - you will get good and precise advice on how to achieve it?
So far you've been vague in your requirements and it would be unfair to expect anyone to give you the advice you seek.

I want to get a season ticket from paddock wood to London.
I filled out a form online, I now have the money to get the season ticket.

Apparently I need another form to take to the station and photo to make photo card and collect pass.

I have no more emails to say what to do next

Alternatively you can purchase on the southeastern trains website and have the ticket added to their smart card

Please be clear, are you a TfL employee, as suggested by your comment that "I am new to TfL"? And where in London do you need to travel to? Is the form you completed just to get the season ticket loan or to allow you to purchase a discounted season ticket?

Yes TfL staff, Charing Cross.
The first form yes to get the loan

The loan was approved and I received it 2 days ago
Thanks. You can order a Key smartcard online from Southeastern, or a smartcard from any other train company. If you have the Southeastern smartcard you will also need to carry separate photgraphic ID when you are using the smartcard. If you obtain a smartcard from a train company such as LNER you can order online and have the smartcard provided with a photo on it which avoids the need for a separate ID. You can then buy the season ticket at a station or online but if buying online many train companies restrict the issue of seasons to smartcards they have issued themselves. Sorry this all sounds a bit confusing!
