Northern 331 running ECS between Crewe and Lime St via Runcorn on WCML today.

Saw a Northern 331 crossing Runcorn bridge this morning a and nearly crashed the car!

Is this going to be a new route?

I don't think it's a new thing is it? Seems like a sensible route to take if then forming a new service at Crewe.

Not all drivers at Liverpool sign the route, so this is a route learner. The route is used to transfer units off the Crewe - Manchester/Liverpool services back to Allerton and to Crewe in the morning. It’s not used a diversion and no guards for Northern sign it.
