Wow 2 very rare visitors to the NE. I suspect perhaps 142009/52 are going to be withdrawn or put into warm storage come Monday then seeing as more 195s are set to enter service on Monday.

Had to get the train to work - Preston to Swinton on Wednesday, which meant going via Wigan (NW walking to Wallgate).

Wallgate provided 142030 which I travelled on to Swinton. Nobody complained despite the loose seat and general lousiness of the train. It still worked, and that's better than no train at all! Could be my last journey on a Pacer!

142057 and 142094 arrived on the Blackburn to Southport service too.

And at Wigan NW, 142045 was with 150143 on the Alderley Edge train.

Many thanks for this information. 022 was one of three pacers I required for haulage this morning and given its storage status I was resigned to never getting it.. However it is funny how things happen when you least expect them. I came in from walking the dog, made a cup of tea, and opened up the forum messages. 21 minutes later and a dash up the M1 the dog and myself boarded the 13:18 from Outwood to Leeds and 022 was required no more. It then worked the 13:48 to Leeds and paired up with 023 for the 15:15 return service to Leeds. Once again many thanks. Now if anyone sees 054 and 090 someone is very keen to meet up with them...

You're welcome. So pleased the info came in useful. I got 022 for haulage today too but still need thirteen others so I've no chance of completing them (Heading home to Devon tomorrow evening and unlikely to come back up north this year).
