I'm in Manchester Monday 20 Feb.
Can anyone advise electric service to Liverpool, between 10am 12pm from any Manchester station.

Hi Paul,

From Manchester Piccadilly, there are the 09:59, 10:59 and 11:59 services to Liverpool Lime Street.
From Manchester Victoria, there are the 10;02, 11:02 and 12:02 services to Liverpool Lime Street.

Services from Victoria stop everywhere, whereas from Piccadilly/ O road they are semi-fast. So depending on how much time you want to spend on the 319 will determine where you want to embark

If you want to mix and match a little, you could get the xx16 Piccadilly-Wigan NW (TPE 350 to Scotland via Chat Moss) arr xx43, and then the xx50 Wigan NW-Lime St (Northern 319 from Preston via St Helens Central).
Doesn't work so well going the other way.

I personally reccommend a good fast 319 blast across Chat Moss on the xx59 from Picc (sit under the pantograph to hear the traction motors at their finest ??????).

You could always get the xx59 from Piccadilly, then change somewhere en-route onto the following xx02 stopper from Vic, which won't be far behind.

Are you referring to the xx56 Dep Piccadilly and xx59 Dep Oxford Road ?

Are you referring to the xx56 Dep Piccadilly and xx59 Dep Oxford Road ?

They are. ISTR most of the 319 workings are still in DMU timings.
