After selling its UK arm to its management team (forming Transport UK), according to Reuters NS has divested itself of the rest of its foreign operator Abellio to BeNEX of Germany which is part of infrastructure company IPP.
Dutch national railway operator NS is selling subsidiary Abellio Germany to German rail company BeNEX, it said on Tuesday, adding that the sale means the end of NS's activities abroad after more than 20 years.
"We see the takeover of Abellio as a great opportunity and at the same time a responsibility for the sustainable development of regional rail transport in Germany," Johann von Georg, BeNEX's managing director, said in a statement.

BeNEX is a regional operator in Germany, and has nordbahn, metronom, ODEG, cantus and agilis as shareholders.
This web site shows the kind of recent activity it is involved in:

New regional trains will soon run on the Nuremberg–Regensburg–Plattling line. Private rail holding company BeNEX has ordered 23 new four-car Mireo trains from Siemens for the regional railway line connecting Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg along the Danube. The trains will enter service in December 2024 for a period of 24 years. The line is part of the Regensburg-Danube Valley network. In May 2021, rail operator agilis, a subsidiary of BeNEX, won the contract for this regional rail network in a Europe-wide call to tender.
