Elstree and Borehamwood Museum (Top floor of the Borehamwood Library at 96 Shenley Road, Borehamwood, WD6 1EB) has an exhibition running until the 20th August 2022 on the proposed extension of the Northern Line from Edgeware to Bushey Heath. Work started on this extension but was halted by WW2 starting, and was subsequently abandoned.

The centrepiece of the exhibition is a 2mm/foot (N gauge) model railway giving an impression of what the extension might have looked like.

(Sorry for the poor quality - low-level museum lighting; and flash bouncing off the surrounding perspex screens would have caused further confusion!)
The model has been built by a local modeller - for reliability there are no working points on the running lines, so there is a degree of 'wrong line working' to be seen.

Another interesting feature is a trip on the line in Train Simulator (or similar) that can be viewed as a video. Still shot herewith:

The Exhibition is open Tues, Weds and Thurs from 12noon to 6pm and Saturdays 10am-3pm. See the museum's website at https://www.elstree-museum.org.uk/ for a short video on the exhibition and further information.

A good exhibition - well worth going. The lower part of that line (Finsbury park to Alexandra palace) had steam trains running on it until 1954 (and tube trains being shunted after that).
Here is a well-made animation of trains on that line

This looks to be either BVE4 or openBVE - a freely available train simulator. A more modern version of the Northern Heights route can be found at http://www.bvecornwall.co.uk/wordpress/northern-heights/ while this looks like another version set in earlier years. I remember seeing this version being created but not sure if it ever got released publicly, so interesting to see it in use there!
