Parking near Darlington station

Hi guys, anyone know anywhere nearish to Darlington station, don't fancy paying 11 quid as need to go to Newcastle.
I'm staff on gtr but doubt there is any discount for it.
Don't mind a 15 minute or so walk as long as it's cheap or better free.

LOADS of on street parking near by, especially on the Neasham Road side

There's a (tatty) car park on the ring road (enter on Brunswick st) at £2.50 for 24 hrs.
Street parking should be easy, just beware of stroppy residents.
