I noticed yesterday that the large penalty fare sign attached to the side of the ticket machine at nsrlow Station has been removed.
It was too large to have been removed due to vandalism.
Therefore are penalty fares no longer an option on the marlow branch?

If there's no Penalty Fare warning signage then obviously Penalty Fares can't be issued for passengers starting their journeys at that station.

It seems rather unlikely there's been any change of policy though; it's probably just that the sign is being replaced for whatever reason, and they haven't yet got round to installing the replacement.

One can live in (vain) hope that the local RPIs have been briefed accordingly...

Could it be something to do with the branch now accepting contactless payment - perhaps the sign was out of date (although iirc this came in over a year ago)?
