From what I can ascertain, I just witnessed 6201 "Princess Elizabeth" go flying past my front window on a loaded test run out from Tyseley to Stratford-upon-Avon via the North Warks line on the following working (From my vantage point I could only see the top of a long maroon boiler):

It looks like it will be returning to Tyseley via Dorridge:

According to this short video (not mine), it's already been down to Stratford earlier today with a support coach, but this evenings' working appeared to be with a complete West Coast Railway mark 1 rake and WCRC class 47 on the rear.

Took me completely by surprise at any rate!

Interesting catch, perhaps it's preparations for the shakespeare express.

It was a test run for the loco after overhaul. 6201 is due to work from Derby to Scarborough on Saturday.

Here is my video from this evening on the loaded run

Nice to see her out & about again, I was supposed to have travelled on a railtour with her a couple of months ago, but her overhaul was not complete so another steamer was arranged, but that failed the night before so it was diesel hauled in the end. Hope to travel with 6201 again soon.
