It's been confirmed in RAIL magazine what was first published in Modern Railways in late December, that TfW are to keep on & PRM modify 9 of the 'temporary' 153s it took on last year. This piece says it'll be the 5 ex-GA and 4 ex-EMR 153s, but the toilets won't be modified, so I assume they'll be permanently locked or taken out.

Have any of the nine 153s gone for refurbishment yet? It's getting a bit tight to do them all by the end of May.

Sorry. I was getting confused `with 104 which hit a tree so was at Widnes longer. Pretty certain no high numbered ones have been yet so ruling 116 0ut

116 has defo been done. Went in on 31st July and came out 8th Sept. 113 has also been done,

Only 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 114, 115 left to refurb, 107 will most likely be last as its TFW livery outside but Arriva green inside

150236 is now back in service after refurb. It worked down to Carmarthen tonight and is allocated to Carmarthen to Pembroke Dock services later

Not sure what is in but i believe they are being done in the same order they were given the C6 overhaul into the later ATW scheme.

3B75 is showing up now as 175109.

150236 is now back in service after refurb. It worked down to Carmarthen tonight and is allocated to Carmarthen to Pembroke Dock services later

I don't know if it went to Pembroke Dock first thing or not but it spent most of the day at Carmarthen with a door fault and returned on 2B39 1849 Carmarthen to Cardiff with a 153 attached.

Those are for C4 exams on the underframe and bogies rather than the refurb programme.
