i would like to raise the topic of Rail Archive again. It was last posted but didn't recieve much praise or anticipation. For all those who think im just a kid with a vid cam think again, i've sold DVDs to people before. So dont knock it. The first vid this year will be out in June and will be for all MTU haters.

Okay, you're a kid with a video cam who has sold DVDs to people.

Jordy, as far as I know, has done the same. To be honest, until we see material with a high production quality, it will be considered as a joke.

That is just stupidly biased and immature, starting to sound like Deltic Matt...

Get a business case. You also need accounts, remember that what you make is a taxable income.

 And another thread goes down the pan....

Kiyran and 777Fred, if you are going to sell these DVDs comercially, there is a few things you have to do.

  • Form a company and register it with Company House, not forgetting to file your accounts when required.
  • Employ or retain an accountant.
  • Employ a company secretary
  • Register with HM Revenue and Customs.

This is all I can think of from the top of my head...

After all that you have to consider the following.

  • How are you going to put the DVDs together?
  • How are you going to market and distribute them?
  • How are you going to fund everything to start with?

Again, that's just what I can think of from the top of my head, so no doubt I've missed a few things. If you are serious about going ahead with this, then seek the help of an agency that specialises in getting small businesses going. Until then don't be promising things that you can not deliver.
