Any ideas what the route from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh will be? Shotts? Carstairs? Coatbridge/Greenhill/Grahamston?

Id take a guess that that will be left up to NR to decide. Beens it hasnt been advertised at all.
Pure guess mind.

The route between Glasgow & Edinburgh will depend on service patterns, available paths & the most important being the drivers Route Knowledge.

Early prediction of 37423 paired with 37510. A second prediction is 37510 and 37218, with an incredibly noisy generator van between coach A and the locos...

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but does anyone know what route the Glaswegian Growler will be taking between Huddersfield and Glasgow ? The website mentions passing the imposing Cumbrian fells, so I'm guessing the WCML part part of the way ?

I understand the route is Huddersfield > Healey Mills, Normanton, Whitehall Curve > Shipley > Carlisle > WCML > Glasgow.

Hmm, Beattock Summit, Law Junction DPL and Beattock loops are all required, shame it's too close to exam time. Looks like a good day out!

There are a couple of routes I need as well. Quite pleased it's doing Oxenholme - Carlisle and the Carlisle - Newcastle routes.

I hope not! It would be disappointing if we did not make it to Glasgow.

Any more forum members wish to book on this?

Oh yeah, I hadn't noticed that !

Also now worth noting that tyne valley and York have been removed from the new timings on the return.
