There's a blockade at Romiley for a week at the end of July, including two weekends.
I picked up a leaflet about it the other day and although it's, perhaps unavoidably, rather complicated, the gist of it is thus;
M-F, 2tph MAN to Guide Bridge which connect into buses for Rose Hill and Marple.
Bus every hour from New Mills to Chinley, connecting into the diverted Sheffield stopper.
SAT, 2tph MAN to Guide Bridge connecting into buses for Rose Hill and Marple.
2 buses per hour MAN to Rose Hill and Marple calling at all stations on the direct line, one of them continues to Chinley to connect with the Sheffield stopper.
SUN, One bus every hour to Chinley, connecting with the diverted Sheffield stopper.
One thing which surprises me is the M-F timetable shows simultaneous departures at 08.14, one for Guide Bridge, one for Chinley, both calling Ashburys at 08.18. How is this possible?
The following departures are very tight too, at 08.49, 08.51 and 08.52. Are departures at one minute intervals normal at Man Picc?
