@Mag_seven and I were looking through some bookings for upcoming journeys and we discovered that we were no longer booked in an emergency exit row, despite having paid extra for this.

We were able to amend the seats, without any additional charge.

The change was from row 16 to 17 and I believe is due to a change in aircraft type allocated (to a 737 Max, I think).

We only discovered this by chance and the journey isn't for several weeks, so the seats we wanted were still available, so no harm done!

I thought it was worth pointing out on here, as something other members may wish to watch out for.

This can also happen on easyJet if the flight sells well (or badly) so they change the aircraft to a bigger or smaller one. The exit rows are numbered differently on 319s (10 and 11) and 320s (12 and 13), I forget what they are on their very small number of 321s.

It did happen to me once, though I'm fairly sure on EZY that once you've paid for seat selection you can change it as many times as you like.

It'd make sense for it to be changed at the gate when the boarding card is scanned but I don't think they actually do.
