Sad story from Russia

It appears the conductor just threw the cat in the snow even though contrary to this article it had a ticket and was returning with the owners grand parents after an operation. Eye witnesses on the train say the conductor was fully aware of the cats ticketed status but threw it out anyway.

If I wasn’t so cynical I would wonder if the story was getting so much coverage because it diverts attention away from stories about all those young conscripts getting cold in another country. Well, I am that cynical.

Much as I love cats, there are bigger problems with Russia at the moment.
