Literally anything Parks have, Elites, Volvo 9700s, Odd occasion a Panorama, Majority of the time it's a Volvo B8R Elite though.Does anyone know what's usually allocated on the 09:10 M91 Edi-Inv operated by parks, and likewise for the 10:10 M90?
That's what I'd figured, any idea for the 10:10?Literally anything Parks have, Elites, Volvo 9700s, Odd occasion a Panorama, Majority of the time it's a Volvo B8R Elite though.
Can be the same if it's Parks, If Stagecoach it can be a Panorama or a Volvo 9700DD and sometimes a Tri-Axle EliteThat's what I'd figured, any idea for the 10:10?
Brill, thank you!Can be the same if it's Parks, If Stagecoach it can be a Panorama or a Volvo 9700DD
If they are using "Citylink 2" it'll be rather disappointing. Not only will they be using a livery that's incorrect for the period, it's also technically not the 40th anniversary of the Citylink brand, either! Now that Citylink are promoting celebrations for their 40th birthday, they note on their website "a special 40th-anniversary Citylink bus" will be on tour to host pop-up events, giveaways, and photo opportunities. I'm guessing this will be some sort of retro livery, but going by their promotional graphic on the webpage it looks like it'll be in "Mark 2 (i.e. privatisation livery) rather than original.
It's not the anniversary of the brand, but Scottish Citylink Coaches Ltd as a separate company was formed in 1985.If they are using "Citylink 2" it'll be rather disappointing. I suppose we'll have to wait and see what appears.
I am aware of that. It's not the anniversary of the brand, but Scottish Citylink Coaches Ltd as a separate company was formed in 1985.
I would hope that the waiting times at Inverness are enough for passengers to have a stretch providing there's no big delay.New CityLink West Coast timetables were released for the summer season today. Of note is a new 912 service which runs once daily between Portree and Edinburgh via Inverness.

promising changes ahead. now all we need is all week night buses in GlasgowA late service back to Glasgow from Skye leaving at 18:40 from Uig getting in at 01:31 to Glasgow as well
Interesting to see a service so late on that route.A late service back to Glasgow from Skye leaving at 18:40 from Uig getting in at 01:31 to Glasgow as well
they will be 918 services. the only coach direct from Inverness to Oban will be the new Ember service. For the peak summer period, 17th May onwards, the 919 Inverness - Fort William service has two services to/from Oban. 07:30 & 13:30 Oban to Inverness, 12:10 & 18:10 return with 30 - 45 min breaks in Fort William which allow connections for Skye.
Given these aren't showing until the 17th I assume they are additional to the current 918 services provided by West Coast Motors, Traveline Scotland is still showing the current 918's, anyone able to confirm?
Yes I'd say so, enough time for some fresh air and a trip to Ashers or Charlie's Cafe if one doesn't dawdle. I wonder if they'll use the new double-decker Volvos? The usual 917 coaches are showing their age and mileage now.I would hope that the waiting times at Inverness are enough for passengers to have a stretch providing there's no big delay.
It will be interesting to see how well loaded that is.A late service back to Glasgow from Skye leaving at 18:40 from Uig getting in at 01:31 to Glasgow as well
I'll certainly use that one quite a bit, Can now spend a few more hours with my Great Granny & GrandaYes I'd say so, enough time for some fresh air and a trip to Ashers or Charlie's Cafe if one doesn't dawdle. I'm interested to know why the similar Megabus doesn't allow a 30-minute stretch on their services yet their journeys are longer than the new 912.Yes I'd say so, enough time for some fresh air and a trip to Ashers or Charlie's Cafe if one doesn't dawdle. This is a service i will certainly use regardless of getting in late, it allows people to visit Skye for the a day trip now as oppose to having to find a BnB/Hotel on Skye itself which i have had a look in the past and it can be quite expensive even for just the 1 night.A late service back to Glasgow from Skye leaving at 18:40 from Uig getting in at 01:31 to Glasgow as well
Surprised they dont run through 918 services. I guess different operator? Not seen any information with regards to ember on that route.they will be 918 services. the only coach direct from Inverness to Oban will be the new Ember service.
West Coast Motors operate it commercially.Surprised they dont run through 918 services. I guess different operator? Not seen any information with regards to ember on that route.
I'm sure they'll be pleased, a good example of how these services link communities and families as well as allowing tourists to explore Scotland.I'll certainly use that one quite a bit, Can now spend a few more hours with my Great Granny & Granda![]()
